Stand University for Parents

Stand UP (Stand University for Parents) is a research-based, ten-week family engagement course for parents of elementary school children. Stand UP’s eight academic classes are focused on actionable steps parents can take immediately to get involved in their children’s academics and to ensure their children are on track to college.

We teach, practice, and revisit a few key topics: parental role-definition, parent-school relationships, understanding and acting on student data and grades, and specific strategies to help students learn at home.

Nearly 1,000 parents have graduated from Stand UP in Arizona, Illinois, and Tennessee. We're expanding to more states and schools this fall.
